Acceptance by Flane-kanja Acceptance by Flane-kanja
I realised I've never drawn Almirith and his father together before. Flane always gets all the limelight. Almirith and Jespar actually get along much better than Flane and Jespar. (Flane's a Mummy's boy).
So Jespar had Almirith raised in Forsantican society to try and give him an environment to grow up in that was less horrific and might offer some hope for the future of dark elf society. Almirith has felt displaced all his life, not least when he first met his father having come home. There must have been a time though when he realised that this man of a strange race so utterly alien to him accepted him as a son and for who he was.

Colouring pencil. Also salvaged from a spaghetti stain.

Ah! Thanks very much :) I hoped I'd be able to convey emotion in the boy's face in contrast to the sternness of his father's.

I feel like I've eavesdropped half way through a story.

I like the shading very much and the colours used to set the mood.
WHERE? WHERE IS THE SPAGHETTI STAIN???

Maybe you'd like to help me paint my wall when you come back - I need help with the shading and shapes.

Its a very long story indeed. But that is somewhere near the beginning.
I tried to colour with the stain and also got rid of a tiny bit of it on photoshop that helps to hide it a lot.

Maybe. Why are you painting the room? Do you mean at the NEW new house rather than at the new house?

But where was the spaghetti?

The NEW new house, yes, that we haven't got yet. I think our Landlady would explode if I started painting her walls.

Yes I did think that it was odd that you wanted to paint the room in the current house.

The spaghetti went under Almirith's eye then over Jespar's arm. I made Jespar's shoulder a little higher so that it followed the curve of the spaghetti stain.
