If you're feeling especially avid:

- the drummer and guitarist for my band have a joint show: Saturdays 2pm -3pm
Yes. We are slowly monopolising the student radio station. Our singer already has plans to do a show next semester.

New Urban Frontier gig. Forest Cafe, Edinburgh. 15/10/09. 7pm -11pm.
For the minority that may be interested. The few that asked me to tell them when gigs where. And the very far between that might actually be able to come. Event link- [link] and [link]
More gigs to come.

If you have access to it, go and watch this film. It's available until 2 AM on wednesday. Put it at the top of your priorities- it's one of the best films I've ever seen.

Although really, all that translates as is: new term and a newly categorised ideology.
But obviously that's a lot less catchy and isn't a good song lyric.
How have people been?
Wow, that was a long summer. I wasn't moping about the BNP the entirety of the time as my last journal may have suggested. The world is so large and imperfect I have many things to choose to mope about, the BNP are are too ridiculous to take up all of my time
Hmm. ~orion and I went to Berlin over the summer, I think I explained that in the photos and Germany-based art I did. Anyone else go somewhere interesting over summer? Tell me; I'm having a rare sociable moment.
Term's restarted and is consisting of a lot of history and philosophy at the minute, which I'm enjoying, and will continue to enjoy so long as the work load doesn't get heavier.
My band still haven't recorded and we have no where to practice; so we're all frustrated. The most noticeable symptoms being a mash of confused chemistry occurring between us all as we have been practically living together for 3 weeks. We collectively did Ramadan together and broke fast everyday even though none of us are actually Muslim. We've spent the last few weeks playing on Scottish beaches building sand castles, walking up hills, picking blackberries, jamming with cutlery, drinking in fields, cooking curries, crashing tea parties and watching the extended editions of all the Lord of The Rings films.
Yep.
My room is very cold.
I couldn't sleep for 2 nights until last night I decided to wear socks and a dressing gown to bed.
I exploded my lightbulb too. I didn't just blow a fuse, I caused some kind of mini explosion in the wires and there were sparks and the smell of gunpowder. I'm glad someone came and fixed it today, its not much fun sitting in the dark after 6PM every day.
I don't like washing up being left for weeks.
I got annoyed because all the anarchistic forms of thought are rubbish, so my friend told me to make a new one up. I have. It's called Trinitarian Anarchism. I am currently its only member. Though I did just spend an hour and a half trying to convince my father that both he and all his long term projects are essentially an experimental form of Trinitarian Anarchism. I'm not sure he was entirely convinced.
Also Alisdair MacIntyre was a real idiot when he was an atheist. And he misunderstands Dostoyevsky. Who is a genius.
I didn't get to go to any festivals over summer, which I'm a bit peeved about. And the guy I went to gigs with has moved away.
I have a new camera. I haven't taken many pictures with it yet. Mainly because I don't want to read that inch thick instruction booklet. So I can't use the camera. Hasn't stopped me from mucking around with it and trying to work it out.
People shouldn't disregard a mode of thought merely because it differs from their own. And they certainly shouldn't disregard the people actively engaging in that thought. It's a lot better to be thinking, even if thinking diversely, than becoming an apathetic mindless slug.
I'm attending extra lectures for a course I'm not doing FOR FUN. I haven't felt this nerdy since A Level early morning Latin classes.
I found a nice chamber orchestra not full of prats. Orchestral playing should be a lot more fun this year.
I'm applying for my own radio show on the student radio. The airing is based online, so if I get a show anyone from all over the world can listen to it if they like [hint hint, guys
My guitarist and bassist are living with someone who has good taste in metal. I now know TWO people with good taste in metal. Even better, HE LIKES KREATOR. And had an album I didn't have. He became the greatest person in time and space for the duration of my ecstatic enthusiasm.
I still have a comic everyone. By the way. You can find it at [link] AND it's still updating. Every once in a while. Fancy that. Thought I'd let you know/try and scrounge back/some more readers. If you're still reading or even visit the site, let me know- drop a note in the cbox, otherwise I think I'm talking to myself and use my site as a breeding ground for schizophrenia.
Have fun, live long and revolutionise.
